Bath, Somerset

Our road. Our community.

A neighbourly home for residents of Lower Bloomfield Road — united in celebrating a place of quiet beauty and rare character.

Who we are

More than a road — a community

The Lower Bloomfield Road Residents Association exists to make our neighbourhood an even better place to call home. We're volunteer-run, warmly inclusive, and firmly convinced that good things happen when neighbours know each other.

Community Composition

At our core is a group of residents who believe passionately in the uniqueness of lower Bloomfield Road. We aim to bring together every member of our community, however far afield, to celebrate a beautifully special place.

Purpose

The LBRRA is a community driven to represent all of our diverse views and interests.

Democratic Structure

The core group consists of a chair, treasurer, secretary and various community ambassadors.

Truly Inclusive

A core belief of the LBRRA is true inclusivity. All are welcome, free of charge.

What we do

We're busy — in the best way

From working with the Council on road safety to hosting impromptu drinks parties, the LBRRA covers a remarkable amount of ground.

Representation and Advocacy

We believe in listening to all our residents and presenting a united voice to councils, housing associations and police. We promote grass-roots community mindedness.

Community Improvement

We believe a collective voice is the route to community cohesion — from looking after our local environment, to supporting and leading local safety initiatives.

Fostering Community Spirit

  • Seasonal get-togethers
  • Coffee mornings with a World Cafe focus
  • Combatting social isolation for the elderly and vulnerable
  • Meals-on-wheels to forge connections
  • Supporting residents in times of need

Communication and Information Sharing

  • Keeping residents informed through multi-media channels: newsletters, surveys, social media, WhatsApp, world cafes
  • Holding regular meetings (both AGM and committee) to provide transparency and to receive feedback
Proposed Works — Action Required

Major Changes Proposed for Bloomfield Road

Significant structural changes have been proposed for our road. Your voice matters — resident feedback will directly influence the final outcome.

Why This Affects You

The proposals include changes to road layout, traffic flow, and pedestrian access on Bloomfield Road. These works could significantly alter daily life for every resident on and around our street.

The consultation window is open — but only for a limited time. Read the full proposal and make your feedback count before the deadline.

New: We've built a free online tool that guides you step-by-step through writing a personalised TRO objection — no legal knowledge needed. It takes under five minutes and generates a ready-to-send response on your behalf.

Our Area

A corner of Bath — worth caring for

Our association covers the streets between Combe Lane and The Gore in the south of Bath — a quiet, characterful neighbourhood with stunning views over the city.
